About Us
Crombie Residents Association
Crombie Residents Association (CRA) was constituted in March 2013 at a well attended Village meeting. Membership of the Association is open to all residents of Crombie Community who shall have full voting rights at any Association meeting. The area covered by the Association is all of the streets within the village of Crombie and includes Bullions, Bullions Farm Cottages, Waulkmill Farm, the Steading, Waulkmill cottages and Waulkmill House.
The Objectives of the Association are:
- To represent and promote, as far as is possible, the interest of the Association on matters concerning housing, the environment, development and other such matters which affect Crombie village.
- To help to improve living conditions, community facilities and services for residents living in Crombie village by representing the Associations views to Fife Council and other local agencies.
- To liaise and co-operate with other groups in Crombie such as, but not exclusive to, the Social Group (the Youth Group), the Play Park Group, Crombie Parents and Toddler Group and the Primary School (Limekilns) Parents.
Governance of the Association is by the Village for the Village.
The Association holds four General Meetings (GMs) each year, one of which is an AGM held at the beginning of March. At these GMs it is expected that the Management Committee (MC) [see below] will report to the Association what has been achieved since the last GM and what they propose to do before the next GM, including an update on the Association financial position.
Additionally, before the GM the MC should produce a newsletter that will inform the Association of what has been achieved by the MC and will promote the GM including the Agenda for the meeting and a copy of the previous meeting minute. These leaflets are posted to the Crombie Facebook Page to reduce our carbon footprint.
